Building Arts & Conservation Inc. (BAC) specializes in the conservation of historic architectural materials.   Working from archival sources, material evidence and analysis, and a working knowledge of past skilled trades, we help our clients preserve their historic buildings and structures through in-depth investigation, analysis, and assessment, as well as provide planning support, project management, and hands-on restoration and conservation.  We have over 30 years experience in the field of architectural conservation and utilize skilled craftsmen to meticulously conserve and restore historic plaster, wood, paint, metallic leaf, glazes, stencils, metals, glass and masonry. Following the tenets of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), our goal is to preserve the patina and significance embedded in our rich architectural traditions and provide our clients with outstanding quality and service.
